after eleven hours at three airports and two flights, i arrived in entebbe, uganda on sunday and was driven into the city of kampala. it is a beautiful, lush, green city - i am staring out the window at a beautiful sunny day with blue skies and almost no clouds. it is much cooler than tanzania - there is no air conditioning at the office, and that is because with the windows open, the breeze is enough to keep the air moving.
funny practice - am not sure if it is because i do not know how to use the phones quite yet or not, but in order to make long distance telephone calls, it is required to let the reception desk know, and they will put in the call for you. so, both yesterday and today, i ran down to the ground floor and back up to the second to put in my call, then to receive it in the office. figure it's a nice chance to get outside and to do some exercise :)
